1979 – TRAFFIX was founded
TRAFFIX was founded in 1979 by Chuck Snow, a trailblazer and truck driver with a vision of changing the landscape of logistics in Canada.
2009 – TRAFFIX Fresh Logistics
Fresh Logistics, a successful Canadian based produce transportation company, merges with TRAFFIX. Founders of Fresh Logistics, Daniel Snow and Mark Southey join TRAFFIX’ executive leadership team.
2016 – A New Perspective
In 2016, Duane Coghlan joined TRAFFIX, bringing a new perspective and strategy to help launch the company into the USA and Mexico.
2017 – US Expansion
In 2017, TRAFFIX, a then $71M company, opened its first US operation in Chicago.
2018 – Service Expansion
TRAFFIX expanded its service offering to include US domestic, LTL, drayage, expedited, and intermodal transportation.
2018 – Mexico Expansion
TRAFFIX opened its Mexico operation, expanding its service offering to include Mexico cross border transportation.
2019 – Courier Service
As part of its LTL offering, TRAFFIX added courier to its suite of services.
2020 – Managed Transportation
TRAFFIX opens its managed transportation division, offering fully out-sourced supply chain solutions backed by an industry-leading, cloud-based TMS.
2022 – $1 Billion in Sales
TRAFFIX exceeded $1 billion in sales for the first time, increasing the company’s ranking on the Top 100 Freight Brokerage list.
2024 – New App Universe

Duane Coghlan
Duane Coghlan is a seasoned executive with over 23 years of experience in the North American transportation industry. As a Managing Partner at TRAFFIX since 2017, he has played a pivotal role in the company’s extraordinary growth. Together with his partners, Mark Southey and Daniel Snow, they led the company from $70 million to an impressive $1.05 billion in just five years. Leveraging his expertise in sales and business development, Duane has had a crucial role in implementing winning strategies and fostering a culture of high performance within the organization.
Duane joined TRAFFIX as a Managing Partner in November 2016. Under his leadership, TRAFFIX has become one of North America’s largest and fastest growing privately held light-asset-based 3PLs, achieving a remarkable compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of over 300%. Together with a dynamic team, Duane focuses on strategic development and growth for the company, ensuring positive results for its diverse client base.
Prior to his role at TRAFFIX, Duane made significant contributions to other industry-leading firms. He started his career at Kelron Logistics as a Regional Manager, ultimately becoming their Director of Sales. Duane’s strategies and sales excellence helped transform Kelron into a leading Canadian logistics firm. During his time there, he consistently achieved the number one sales status for six consecutive years and was instrumental in expanding the company’s service offerings.
Following his tenure at Kelron Logistics, Duane joined FLS Transportation Services, Inc., where he spearheaded expansionary efforts across North America for ten years. He successfully opened nine offices across the USA, Mexico, and Canada, adding $170 million in annual revenue and overseeing the hiring of 165 employees. Subsequently, Duane focused on mergers and acquisitions, bringing in an impressive $1 billion plus in prospective opportunities for the organization.
Throughout his career, Duane has demonstrated exceptional business strategy, a genuine care for his employees, and a remarkable talent for sales and marketing. Outside of work, Duane enjoys skiing and spending quality time at his lakefront cottage with his wife and two daughters.
Daniel Snow
Daniel Snow stands out as one of the innovative owners and leaders of TRAFFIX, a billion-dollar North American 3PL. Coming from a family whose business was transportation, Daniel has a passion for all things logistics. He has worked in the industry for his entire life in virtually every position, from checking truck tires and sweeping the shop floor to driving a forklift. From there he worked his way up as a dispatcher, account manager, salesperson, VP, and finally to owner and managing partner.
Daniel earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario, where he specialized in accounting and business management. Following his graduation, he forged a powerful alliance with fellow managing partner Mark Southey, and together they created Fresh Logistics.
Daniel and Mark built Fresh Logistics from the ground up, leveraging their ambitious spirit, tireless work ethic, shrewd business acumen, and profound industry knowledge. The ultimate culmination of their efforts came in 2012 when Fresh Logistics merged with TRAFFIX, with Daniel assuming an equal partnership in the company.
Ascending to the role of Executive Vice President of Operations, Daniel honed his expertise in negotiation, operations management, customer service, supply chain, and most importantly, leadership. Since assuming the mantle of Managing Partner at TRAFFIX, he has driven the company’s expansion into the United States and Mexico, propelling the Canadian based enterprise into a widely recognized brand throughout North America.
With an unwavering commitment to scaling TRAFFIX, Daniel strives to offer innovative solutions to clients, open new horizons for team members, and solidify the company’s position as an industry leader.
In addition to his remarkable career achievements, Daniel holds licenses in both Certified Public Accounting (CPA) and Certified Management Accounting (CMA). Daniel is married with three children to whom he dedicates most of his time outside of work. When he is not with is family, Daniel enjoys Olympic weightlifting, voraciously reading books about business, team building, and leadership, or heliskiing with his friend and business partner, Mark Southey.
Mark Southey
Mark Southey embarked on his journey in the transportation industry immediately after earning his university degree in finance. Driven by his entrepreneurial spirit and captivated by the challenging, fast-paced nature of logistics, Mark founded Fresh Logistics in 2007 along with Daniel Snow, his future partner at TRAFFIX. Their venture experienced remarkable growth and success, leading to a merger with TRAFFIX just two years later, where Mark assumed an equal partnership in the company.
As a Managing Partner at TRAFFIX, Mark’s responsibilities encompass overseeing the company’s technology and finance sectors, while also playing a key role in its overall management. His expertise in technology has greatly contributed to the company’s success, as he continuously explores the utilization of existing best-in-class programs and the development of proprietary technologies that add substantial value to the company’s intellectual property portfolio.
Mark’s exceptional leadership skills, industry knowledge, and unwavering commitment to excellence have been instrumental in driving TRAFFIX’ accomplishments and shaping the future of logistics. He skillfully manages day-to-day operations, implements long-term strategies, and fosters a positive attitude throughout the organization. By prioritizing customer-centric approaches, Mark consistently cultivates strong client relationships and delivers tailored solutions that cater to their unique needs.
Recognized as a visionary leader in the industry, Mark possesses an in-depth understanding of supply chain dynamics. Drawing upon his extensive knowledge of logistics operations, he stays attuned to emerging market trends and technological advancements, allowing him to implement innovative solutions and optimize processes for enhanced efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Mark earned his Bachelor of Finance from Western University, London, Ontario. He holds certifications as both a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), which reflect his expertise in financial accounting and strategic business management. Outside of his professional pursuits, Mark is an avid backcountry snowboarder and enjoys exploring the great outdoors. He is happily married and the proud father of three boys.
Dilanthi De Alwis
With over 23 years of experience in the logistics industry, Dilanthi De Alwis- Mummert has established herself as a distinguished Chief Financial Officer, whose professional journey has spanned continents and propelled the companies she has worked for to new heights.
As CFO of TRAFFIX, Dilanthi plays a pivotal role in the senior management team, spearheading the financial functions that underlie the company’s operations. Her commitment to building and scaling infrastructure is felt throughout the organization, as she propels TRAFFIX towards a future of opportunity and innovation.
Dilanthi’s notable career in logistics began at UPS over 20 years ago, where she first took on the role of a financial analyst. Rising through the ranks, she then took on her first Expat assignment located in Brussels, Belgium, serving as the Director of Finance of the Europe Region overseeing 28 countries. Dilanthi then took on the role of Director of Finance for UPS’s emerging and high growth markets where she developed financial strategies that stimulated growth and facilitated expansion around the world. From there, she was promoted to Corporate VP of International Finance and Accounting. Over the next two years, she thrived as VP of Finance for the US West Region, guiding the company’s attainment of business plan goals for its $25 billion business unit.
At the height of her career at UPS, Dilanthi ascended to the role of CFO of UPS’s Supply Chain Solutions, one of the largest 3PLs in the world. In this role she oversaw UPS business units including UPS Global Freight Forwarding, Global Logistics & Distribution, UPS Mail Innovations, Coyote Logistics, and Customs Brokerage. Her visionary leadership served to guide strategic planning and initiative development, furthering the company’s financial objectives, and driving remarkable revenue and profit margin growth.
Dilanthi earned her BS in Business Administration and Accounting from Northeastern University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She acquired a master’s degree in Information Systems Management (MISM) from the Keller Graduate School of Management. She also studied Applied Business Analytics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Digital Fluency and Executive Perspectives at Emory University.
Beyond her illustrious career, She shares her life with her husband, two sons, and beloved dog in sunny southern California. Dilanthi contributes generously to her community, and has served as a member of the Board of Directors for Orange County United Way and on the Advisory Board of the Darla Moore School of Business. She finds joy in global adventures as an avid foodie and traveler, having visited over 50 counties around the world.
Marc Knoop
Marc Knoop is an accomplished IT leader who is driven by a strong customer focus and a passion for cutting-edge technology. His expertise lies in designing, building, and maintaining innovative technology solutions and their associated processes. With a proven track record of leveraging technology to achieve business objectives and enhance operations, Marc brings a unique blend of knowledge and enthusiasm to every project he undertakes.
Currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at TRAFFIX, Marc plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing all aspects related to technology applications and infrastructure. He shapes the strategic vision of technology within TRAFFIX, ensuring the company maintains a competitive advantage in the marketplace both now and in the future. Marc’s responsibilities include developing, implementing, and managing the company’s technology resources. He achieves this by carefully analyzing short and long-term needs and making strategic capital investments, making a significant contribution to TRAFFIX’s organizational goals.
Marc’s journey in computer technology began as the Director of IT Operations & Support at FlightNetwork, where he provided exceptional leadership to the help desk, infrastructure, and production control teams. He then advanced his career as the Director of Technology Infrastructure and Operations at Leonardo Worldwide Corporation, leading a team responsible for the production stack, server, network infrastructure, and security.
Continuing his professional growth, Marc joined Travel Edge as the Director of IT Infrastructure. Marc played a key role in designing, deploying, and managing all IT systems, including critical finance and booking systems. All of these experiences served him well in providing a solid foundation in IT operations before he joined TRAFFIX as Chief Technology Officer.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Marc’s love of travel has taken him to various parts of Europe, including Germany, where he gained valuable international experience. He also maintains an avid interest in reading, particularly to stay updated on the latest technology trends. As a dedicated father of three, Marc cherishes family time and exploring passions such as photography and playing competitive pool.
Heather Devine
As Chief Legal Officer, Heather is a trusted advisor to the principals, directors and shareholders of TRAFFIX and its group of companies which provide all aspects of transportation services including leading transportation management solutions and technology.
Recently, Heather restructured aspects of the TRAFFIX Group to capitalize on various international tax and economic advantages, and she is an action-oriented executive who drives meaningful initiatives that create success.
Prior to becoming TRAFFIX’ CLO, Heather founded and led the Bay Street office for an international law firm, and she commenced her career as equity partner with one of the top seven international law firms in Canada gaining recognition in both L’Expert and Best Lawyers.
Heather is admitted to practice in all courts in Canada and is admitted to the Bars of Nova Scotia and Ontario.
Scott Goodman
With a background in law and expertise in enterprise transformation and people management, Scott Goodman is a highly accomplished executive who has demonstrated exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and a commitment to fostering inclusive and high-performing teams throughout his career. As the Chief People Officer at TRAFFIX, Scott serves as the company’s culture advocate and brand builder to attract the best and brightest talent. He has proved himself as an effective people operations leader, playing a pivotal role in driving growth with better systems for talent acquisition, leadership development, and employee experience and engagement. In this capacity, he loves building and enabling exceptional teams as they define the company’s purpose and values, implement strategy, drive results, and build an extraordinary workplace culture.
Scott built his career in Toronto, where he got his start over 25 years ago as an associate lawyer at Ogilvy Renault (now Norton Rose), where he negotiated and advised on complex legal agreements. After a five-year stint at University Health Care Network (UHN), where he served as Counsel and Manager of Employee and Labor Relations, he spent a decade at Parmalat Canada Inc., first as the Director of Human Resources and Labor Relations, then rising through the ranks to his ultimate position of Senior Vice President of Human Resources.
Over the next decade, Scott continued to hone his skills in people management, first as Head of Talent and Workforce Effectiveness at TMX Group Limited and then as Chief People and Legal Officer at Avante Logixx, where he was instrumental in spearheading the company’s organic and acquisitive business success. By implementing strategic internal processes and organizational design improvements, Scott succeeded in laying a solid foundation that supports the company’s growth and bottom line.
Scott earned his BA in Political Science from York University, Toronto, and his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Western Ontario. He received his MBA from Royal Roads University in Colwood, British Columbia. A legal advisor to Kids Help Phone as well as a board member, he relishes the opportunity to volunteer in his free time. He also loves hanging out with his wife and two kids, playing hockey and doing occasional side gigs as a musician.
Craig Swain
Craig Swain is a seasoned expert with two decades of experience in the transportation and logistics industry, and has consistently capitalized on his wide-ranging experience in operations and sales to be an invaluable asset to every company he has worked for. Over the course of his career in logistics, he has held virtually every front-office position.
As the Executive Vice President at TRAFFIX, Craig leads a dynamic team and contributes to technological advancements within the company. He is particularly excited about helping its branches and people grow while focusing on customer-centric solutions and efficiency. He is a results-oriented leader, helping to guide the company with transparency and clarity.
Craig received his education at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, specializing in international trade and transportation logistics. After graduation, he began his professional journey as a track and trace coordinator at Kelron Transportation Management. After moving through carrier sales, operations, and sales positions, he ultimately became the Director of Procurement, a position he thrived in for the next decade before moving to FLS Transportation Services.
At FLS, Craig continued his upward trajectory, first serving as the branch director at the Vancouver office. Subsequently, he expanded the company’s presence by opening the Salt Lake City branch and overseeing its operations. His exceptional leadership skills earned him the roles of General Manager, VP of Strategic Operations, and ultimately the Chief Operating Officer, a position he held for nearly six years until joining TRAFFIX.
Craig is passionate about the intricacies of global goods movement, entrepreneurial opportunities in logistics, and problem-solving challenges. Craig attributes his success to the collaboration and support of great mentors, leaders, and team members throughout his professional journey.
A native Vancouverite, Craig spent his early years in Singapore. Currently, Craig finds joy in family life, being married for 20 years to his wife and raising two wonderful daughters. He nurtures a passion for classic cars while leading an active lifestyle, as evidenced by his love of snowboarding.
Jeremy Schlachet
Jeremy Schlachet is an experienced professional in the logistics and supply chain industry, with an impressive track record spanning more than two
decades. As an Executive Vice President at TRAFFIX, he is instrumental in driving growth and shaping the strategic direction of the entire company
network. His responsibilities include P&L management, talent acquisition and retention, strategic growth initiatives, technological advancements, and expanding the company’s office network.
Beginning his career in logistics at the Chicago office of C.H. Robinson, Jeremy quickly established himself as a sales executive. His outstanding performance led to a rapid promotion to Senior Sales Representative from there to Sales Manager. During his tenure, Jeremy played a pivotal role in fostering the growth of one of the most successful offices.
Jeremy’s passion for the transportation industry led him to continue his career with TRAFFIX, where he first assumed the role of Branch Director of the Chicago office. Leveraging the strong relationships he established in Canada, Jeremy spearheaded strategic development and growth for TRAFFIX USA. He excelled in solution selling, strategic growth planning, implementing transportation management systems (TMS) and CRM solutions, and achieving remarkable success by opening new offices and propelling TRAFFIX to become one of the fastest-growing third-party logistics companies in just two years.
As the Vice President of Sales, Jeremy’s primary focus was to expand TRAFFIX’s presence throughout North America and establish the company as a household name in the supply chain vertical. His exceptional abilities in solution selling, strategic growth planning, TMS/CRM implementation, sales management, and driving high-performance growth have consistently positioned TRAFFIX ahead of the competition.
Since his promotion to Executive Vice President, Jeremy has collaborated closely with branch directors across the network, working collectively to align goals and drive TRAFFIX’s strategic vision. Along with an exceptional team of talented professionals, he is proud to contribute to the company’s continued success and growth, solidifying its position as a recognized leader in the logistics industry.
Jeremy holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Miami University in Oxford, OH. While originally hailing from Cleveland, Ohio, a place he still calls home, he now lives in Chicago, where he resides with his wife and two young children. During his leisure time, Jeremy can often be found on the golf course, engaging in a game of pickleball, or enjoying the pleasures of the great outdoors.
Scott Sears
Scott Sears is an accomplished Executive Vice President with two decades of experience in the logistics industry. As a seasoned professional with an impressive track record, he has consistently demonstrated a proficiency in leadership strategies, recruitment, and P&L management, all while maintaining an unwavering commitment to personal growth and the professional development of others.
Scott joined TRAFFIX in 2017 as branch director of the company’s first US branch located in Chicago. In this capacity, he demonstrated exceptional acumen in talent acquisition, ensuring only the finest and most experienced professionals were brought on board. His responsibilities extended beyond recruitment and P&L management to developing his own profitable sales portfolio and managing a sales team, all while charting a strategic course for the Chicago office.
After four years, Scott was elevated to Executive Vice President, where his visionary insights and meticulous planning were pivotal in driving the company’s progress. In his current role, Scott has been leading the charge towards excellence, with a focus on strategic growth and sales management.
Prior to his tenure at TRAFFIX, Scott spent 12 years at AFN, where he held the position of Senior Business Development Executive. During this period, he adeptly nurtured long-lasting relationships with shippers, striving for sustainable and mutually beneficial partnerships. Scott’s consultative approach proved invaluable to AFN’s customers, fostering efficiency within their transportation networks. His comprehensive understanding of market dynamics and evolving industry trends underscored his exceptional abilities in delivering multi-faceted solutions across various modes of transportation.
Scott Sears’ professional journey began at the University of Kansas, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism, advertising, marketing, and public relations. Equipped with this solid foundation, he embarked on a career marked by his uncanny ability to find customized solutions that work for a diverse clientele. In addition to his devotion to his family, which includes his wife Debbie and three kids, Scott actively pursues his career aspirations of doubling TRAFFIX’s revenue by 2026.
Augie Picado
With over 35 years of experience in the global transportation and supply chain industry, Augie Picado stands out as a dynamic international business leader. Augie has made significant contributions on a global scale. As an accomplished public speaker with two TED talks amassing over 1.9 million views, he brings a unique blend of expertise and pragmatism to his role as Vice President of Marketing at TRAFFIX, where he spearheads the company’s marketing efforts.
Before joining TRAFFIX in the fall of 2023, Augie began his career at UPS in 1985 and worked in various roles in marketing, engineering, and operations. His most rewarding position was President of UPS Mexico. In this role, he oversaw all lines of business, developing strategies across all functional areas to drive revenue and profit growth. His leadership extended to collaborating with large multinational companies, optimizing their supply chains between China, Mexico, and the US. It was this experience as the President of UPS Mexico where he gained deep insights into cross-border trade operations.
In his next position at UPS as Vice President of North America International, Augie managed the U.S.-based international parcel business developing strategies to drive revenue and profit growth. He implemented initiatives that helped small businesses capitalize on the burgeoning international e-commerce market.
In his final role at UPS as Vice President of Marketing for global freight forwarding in Atlanta, Augie implemented global marketing strategies for air, ocean, ground freight, and customs brokerage services. He led teams in strategy, product management, communications, revenue management, pricing, and digital transformation. Augie retired from UPS in 2022, and opened his own consulting practice, which is how he connected with TRAFFIX.
Augie holds a BA from Montclair State University and an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University, both in New Jersey. He also earned a Project Management Masters Certificate from the George Washington University School of Business in Washington, D.C. Fluent in Spanish, Augie resides in Miami, FL, with his wife of over 33 years. Outside of work he enjoys “futbol”, spending time in Spain and hiking challenging trails like the Camino de Santiago.
Michael Meeks
Michael Meeks is a seasoned professional in the insurance industry, with over 20 years of experience in risk management, claims, and compliance. His extensive background includes 12 years in multi-line commercial litigation and transportation/logistics. Michael has a strong track record in conducting outside insurance, commercial trucking and logistics investigations, where he has successfully implemented proactive cost-saving initiatives in risk management and insurance procurement.
Currently, Michael serves as the Vice President of Enterprise Risk Management at Traffix. In this role, he established the corporate risk division, developed numerous risk policies and procedures, and ensured motor carrier compliance and effective claims management. Michael also oversees the global corporate insurance program for the company, demonstrating his ability to manage risk on an international scale.
Michael’s career began as a Liability Risk Manager at CorVel, a national provider of risk management solutions for the workers’ compensation, auto, health, and disability management industries. He then moved to AFN in Niles, IL, where he served as Director of Claims and Risk Management, focusing on corporate insurance, compliance, and claims management.
After seven years as an Independent Claims Consultant in the greater Chicago area, Michael joined BlueGrace Logistics. There, he created their risk management division and led their corporate insurance program. His expertise and leadership quickly propelled him through the ranks at Traffix, where he started as Director of Enterprise Risk Management. Within a year and a half, Michael was promoted to Vice President of Enterprise Risk Management, a testament to his skill and dedication.
In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Michael is a widely read published author, having contributed numerous articles to national industry publications. He is a frequent guest on several podcasts focused on insurance, transportation, and logistics, sharing his insights and expertise with a wider audience.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Law Studies and Criminal Justice from Illinois State University, where he was an NCAA student-athlete and a proud Redbird. Outside of his professional life, Michael enjoys traveling to his two teenage daughters’ softball games, spending time on the golf course, and fishing. His personal and professional achievements reflect his commitment to excellence and his ability to balance a dynamic career with a fulfilling family life.
Milton Magos
Milton Magos has enjoyed a distinguished career in transportation and logistics in both the United States and Mexico. A visionary leader with a strategic outlook, Milton excels in relationship management and leadership, particularly in cross-border markets. His extensive experience advising clients on nearshoring logistics solutions has equipped him with deep insights into the intricacies of the U.S.-Mexico border trade. His proven success is a result of his ability to understand the complexity of market trends as well as to develop a team of empowered leaders that can make timely decisions and solve critical problems.
Milton brings this unparalleled expertise to Traffix as Vice President. He set up and currently spearheads the company’s operations in Mexico, building a dedicated team to serve customers across the border. In this role he is 100% focused on laying out the path to drive market growth.
Having grown up in Mexicali, Mexico, a border city adjacent to Calexico, CA, Milton has an innate understanding the local idiosyncrasy of border towns, which has proven key to doing business there. He discovered his passion for logistics very early in his career when he worked for American Airlines while studying for his bachelor’s degree. He joined UPS when he graduated from college where he spent much of his career at UPS. He held multiple roles in Mexico and in the US as the Director of sales in the Houston metro area and the South Texas border.
When he returned to Mexico as USMCA Trade Lane Director in Mexico City, he oversaw designing UPS Supply Chain Solution’s Cross Border Strategy, realigning processes and refreshing the “Go-To-Market” Strategy in order to drive accelerated growth in this lane. Milton then served as UPS’s Country Manager of Supply Chain Solutions in Mexico City, where he led UPS SCS Mexico under a holistic strategy in which its customers would have a seamless transition between all UPS SCS business units operating in Mexico, including Coyote Logistics.
Milton holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. He currently lives in Mexico City with his wife, three children and a Bloodhound puppy named Cash. They love traveling, going to movies and hosting the bi-weekly family gathering at home with the rest of the family. He is also an avid tennis player as well as watch and wine collector. He is a big fan of futbol. On weekends, you’ll find him cheering for his favorite soccer team, Barcelona.
