This morning, the container ship Dali, bound for Colombo, Sri Lanka, departed from the Port of Baltimore and collided with the Francis Scott Key Bridge along I-695, causing its collapse. The ship, guided by a local crew, was transitioning from port control to its own crew for open water transit. The cause of the accident is still unknown.

It's uncertain how long vessel movements to and from the Baltimore Port will be disrupted, potentially affecting shipping schedules along the Eastern Seaboard. The Baltimore Port is expected to remain closed for the near future.
